Date & Time: Friday 27th October 2006 @ 17:00 Hours
Brief Description: Reseller account server domain settings upgrade.
Symptoms of Issue: Resellers for the iceBackup system will have to make a one-time minor modification to the way in which their domain name is handled. LITTLE OR NO DISRUPTION IN YOUR SERVICE WILL OCCUR DURING THE CHANGE-OVER.
Instructions:

Your domain currently points to an IP address for a server assigned to your account. This will need to change, effective immediately, from the existing "A" record to a "CNAME" record mapped to the iceBackup server's domain name. It can be done in the same way you setup the "A" record for your account. We believe that this will produce faster response times and allow us to allocate specific servers to your account for maximum performance.

EXAMPLE:
backup.your-domain.com.
> CNAME >
ibk-001-svr.icebackup.net.

(Don't forget the "." at the end of .net. as it is a FQDN)

It is important that these changes are applied by:
10:00am Monday 06-November-2006
otherwise you may experience disruptions and downtime on your service and connections in the future.

Work in Progress: Resellers are able to carry out the change-over before 10:00am Monday 06-November-2006 without experiencing disruption in performance or service. Assistance can be provided from our support helpdesk.
